OVERVIEW

Climate change is a grave global threat impacting ecosystems, societies, and economies, worsened by deforestation and rising emissions. Kenya, an East African developing nation, confronts climate challenges and opportunities. Our National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP) guides strategies for sectors like energy, agriculture, and transport. Sir Antonio International, an eco-conscious organization, aligns with Kenya’s goal to plant 15 billion trees by 2032, combating emissions, deforestation, and restoring 5.1 million hectares. Urgent forest restoration is crucial to counteract climate change’s harm.

PROJECT

Tree Restoration Program – target MDAs & Learning Institutions

Galvanize youth and professionals for climate actions like tree planting and sustainable living. The Tree Restoration Program tackles community-level climate concerns, including agriculture, renewable energy, and waste reduction. Aiding Ministries, Departments, and State Agencies (MDAs).

Environmental Advocacy:

Conduct workshops for community training on tree planting and care. Educational programs target schools, community groups, and individuals, raising awareness and project goals understanding.

KEY RESOURCES

Sir Antonio International aims to adapt these resources to suit the specific needs of our adopt a school- tree restoration project in Kenya:

Research and Planning:

Evaluate site conditions including soil, climate, and vegetation to choose appropriate tree species. Collaborate with experts, NGOs, and government agencies for region-specific ecological insights and challenges.

Funding:

We secure grants from global and local entities, including government MDAs, NGOs, and foundations, while also utilizing crowdfunding for public-driven conservation financing.

Partnerships and Collaborations:

Local communities drive tree restoration via decision-making, training, and job creation. Kenya’s afforestation combats deforestation, enhances carbon storage. We collaborate with government for compliance and resource access.

Tree Seedlings:

We setting up regional nurseries and collaborate with local ones for native seedlings. Our team gathers local seeds to preserve genetic diversity, partnering with institutions like KEFRI for quality seeds.

Tools and Equipment:

Shovels, Hoes and Rakes: Essential for site preparation and planting.

Watering Equipment: Hoses, watering cans, or drip irrigation systems for ample water provision in early growth.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Track tree growth, survival, and ecosystem health. Utilize collected data to adjust project strategies for informed decision-making and effective adaptation.

Logistics:

Organize transportation for seedlings, tools, and equipment. We possess suitable resources for effective planting and upkeep through well-planned logistics.

Volunteers and Workforce:

Involve local and international volunteers in recruitment. Offer comprehensive training on planting techniques, safety, and project goals to ensure effective participation.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

Conduct frequent community meetings to update stakeholders, address issues, and foster ownership. Utilize social media, local media, and events to showcase project success and gather backing.
